Tiny Thoughts: A Little Better Each Day

Make it a point to get a little better each day.  Whatever your current focus is, whatever your goals, just move the needle it on it, at least a little bit, every day. Small changes will add up and compound into amazing results over time.

Because here’s the thing, time is moving forward no matter what you do.  In 30 days it will be next month, in a few more months it will be winter time, and 52 weeks from now it will be next year.  Nothing is changing that reality.

But imagine if you did 5 minutes of work or 5 minutes of practice each day for the rest of this month or year.  Imagine how much further along your project or goal would be.

Most days you might not feel like doing the work.  That’s OK.  I didn’t feel like writing most mornings when I wrote my first book.  But I did it anyway, at least for 5 minutes.

Consistency wins over time.  Small changes will compound into wonderful results.  Motivation is fleeting, don’t wait until you are inspired.  Just do the work, a little bit each day and then look back next year at what you accomplished.
